These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Greater Texas Moving & Storage website and the moving, storage, packing, transportation, and related services (“Services”) provided by Greater Texas Moving & Storage (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By requesting an estimate, scheduling services, using our website, or engaging our Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Greater Texas Moving & Storage provides residential and commercial moving, packing, storage, transportation, and related relocation services within Texas and other approved service areas.

Specific services provided for each move will be outlined in the customer’s estimate, work order, or service agreement.

2. Estimates

Quotes and estimates are based upon the information provided by the customer.

Additional charges may apply if:

  • Inventory changes
  • Additional labor is required
  • Access conditions differ from those disclosed
  • Waiting time occurs
  • Additional packing materials are required
  • Services requested differ from the original estimate

Unless otherwise stated in writing, estimates are not guaranteed fixed-price contracts.

3. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information regarding the move.
  • Identify items requiring special handling.
  • Ensure all valuables, cash, jewelry, firearms, medications, and important documents are removed prior to the move.
  • Obtain any required building reservations or parking permits.
  • Ensure reasonable access to both pickup and delivery locations.

The Company reserves the right to refuse transportation of hazardous materials, illegal items, or items prohibited by law.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due per contract arrangements.

Accepted payment methods: credit card or ACH.

Any balances not paid when due may be subject to collections or non-delivery of goods.

The Company reserves the right to suspend services until payment obligations have been satisfied.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Customers may cancel or reschedule services by providing advance notice.

Cancellation policy: at least 48 hours’ notice.

Rescheduling policy: upon company approval.

Deposits, if applicable, may be refundable or non-refundable depending upon the terms disclosed at the time of booking.

6. Liability

The Company exercises reasonable care while handling customer property.

Liability for loss or damage shall be governed by the valuation option selected by the customer and any applicable federal or Texas laws.

The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Ordinary wear and tear
  • Mechanical failure of electronic equipment
  • Damage caused by customer packing
  • Damage to items not packed by the Company
  • Natural deterioration
  • Acts of God
  • Customer negligence

Customers should inspect all items upon delivery and report any visible damage promptly.

7. Claims

Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 90 days of delivery (not valid if items are delivered into self-storage or another carrier’s facility).

The Company will investigate all properly submitted claims and respond in accordance with applicable law and Company procedures.

8. Storage Services

Where storage services are provided:

  • Storage fees are due according to the storage agreement.
  • Customers remain responsible for maintaining current contact information.
  • Items prohibited by law or safety regulations may not be stored.
  • Additional storage terms may apply under separate warehouse agreements.

9. Website Use

The content contained on this website is provided for informational purposes only.

Customers agree not to:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to Company systems
  • Copy website content without permission
  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with website operations

The Company may modify website content without notice.

10. Privacy

Customer information is handled in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Statement available on this website.

11. Text & Email Communications (SMS/Text Messaging Terms)

By opting in to receive SMS/text messages from Greater Texas Moving & Storage, you agree to the terms in this section.

Consent for SMS communication. The phone numbers we collect through our SMS opt-in process are used solely for communication related to our moving, storage, and related services. We do not share or sell your phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Types of SMS communications. After you opt in, you may receive messages such as:

  • Appointment and scheduling reminders
  • Follow-up messages
  • Quote, billing, and account notifications
  • Occasional promotions or offers

Message frequency. Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.

How to opt in. You may opt in to receive SMS messages by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our website (greatertexasmoving.com) or by otherwise providing your express written consent.

How to opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message from us, or by contacting us at scott@greatertexasmoving.com. After you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

If you do not wish to receive SMS messages, simply do not opt in—please do not check the SMS consent box on our forms. Marketing email messages are only sent to customers who have provided the required consent, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those communications.

12. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, labor disputes, governmental actions, road closures, public emergencies, utility outages, or other events outside the Company’s control.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas.

Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Travis County, Texas.

14. Changes to These Terms

Greater Texas Moving & Storage reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will become effective upon posting to the Company’s website.
